Near perfect worldtimer

As a frequent traveler, having a reliable world time watch is essential. The Citizen 9010 is near perfect in almost every regard. It is easy-to-read, attractively styled, and easy-to-use once you get the hang of it. The radio control works reasonably well in most of the world’s major cities. Outstanding features include total control over summer time in each timezone, with the option to use auto settings according to the time signal or manual for areas that don’t use summer time or if the time signal is not available. The Eco-Drive lasts for months on a full charge, which I accomplish overnight under a Solarex desk lamp. Although Citizen has models optioned with every possible feature, the 9010 only has those you need: Eco-Drive, second time zone, auto or manual summer time for each time zone, radio control in the US, UK, Europe, Japan, and China, rapid time zone selection, and alarm. A great feature is the rapid, one-touch time-zone exchange between the main and secondary displays, for those who travel to one location frequently. The piece is a bit big and heavy but will fit nicely on most men’s wrists, just make the bracelet a bit snug (you can adjust with an inexpensive tool according to numerous online instructional videos). It is quite attractive and is a real attention getter. A real winner.
I’ve had this watc for about a month now and am very satisfied. It is a little heavier than I am used to but it doesn’t take long and you don’t even notice it. The initial set up wasn’t too difficult. Between the manual and YouTube videos it didn’t take long to do. Before doing the setup you may have to charge the watch a bit. Mine arrived a little under half way charged. I just put it on top of my lamp with an led bulb for an hour or so and it was ready to go. It receives the radio signal here in Texas every night and I don’t even have to take the watch off. Adjusting the band was very easy. I purchased a link remover for around $5 and had no problems. The one thing I would like to see would be better illumination on the hands. They don’t stay bright for very long but that isn’t a big deal for me. The watch is not complicated to use. Changing time zones is very easy and I like the dual time zone display. The watch face is clean and not cluttered like some. It does not have a chronograph feature but I never used it in any other watch I’ve had so again not a big deal. Overall I’m very pleased with my purchase and would not hesitate to buy it again.

I ordered this for my husband who is in the military as a promotion present. First of all, it was cheaper here than anywhere else. The military is very strict on what they can wear with their uniform but this is just simple enough to fit with their code. He LOVES it! We live overseas right now and he loves that it just updates automatically no matter which country we travel to, it even updated on the plane right back to the States. It’s so high quality and gorgeous. He always gets compliments on it. I fear I have created a monster because now he says he can’t wear anything but Citizen watches, lol.
Watch of the times. No pun intended.

I love the look and feel. Some have said this is a huge watch. Well compared to the 80’s yes. But
I bought this watch in November last year and now the date does not change by itself all the time, I have to manually change it. Also it does not respond to the radio control. Each time I check it says it was not successful, I checked from the top of several buildings and it does not register. I live in Florida but the radio signals are supposed to reach this area but they don’t. Citizen should check this out as it is not performing as it is described
This watch is truly a marvel of modern engineering

This watch is truly a marvel of modern engineering. It is a Rolex quality at a small fraction of cost. I am impressed with features of ECO-drive, Atomic (5 bands rather 6 bands though), perpetual calendar, easy switching of dual time, and 20 bars capability, just to list a few. I am particularly impressed by genius design of second hand which does not move in dark to better conserve battery power. Color contrast on second hand makes this watch very attractive.
Great watch at a great price
Great watch at a great price. Got a compliment from our waiter the first time I wore it out. It can be a little complicated if you try and just throw it on and wear it without reading the instructions, but that is on you then. Take the time, read the booklet, look at the videos online and enjoy your watch. It has made me a repeat buyer.

I’ve had the Citizen Nighthawk for years and loved it. No issues. When I came across the AT9010-52e online, I couldn’t fine it anywhere to physically try on. I have a small wrist, and was concerned with the bigger size. It is not that much bigger than the nighthawk! I was ready to pull the trigger here on Amazon since I did some research and wanted an Authorized Dealer. My local AD dropped their price for me from $475 to $400, so I ran back and purchased. It works great and looks amazing. It radio synced last night, no problem. Too bad my nighthawk won’t get as much wear, and it is too inexpensive to try to sell, so will keep it in my collection. AT9010 for daily wear! Eco Drive, no batter, no opening the case, ever (well maybe in 20 years, I can accept that). Honestly, other then self-winding higher end watches like Rolex, etc., I wonder why most watches aren’t Eco Drive, I suppose Citizen has a tight patent on it. If another brand needs a battery (my Tag battery replacement can cost anywhere from $20 – $75), turns me off a bit, Citizen is great.
